Back to school

School!

For whatever reason, I always get excited to go back to school on the first day. This term its no different. I feel that, with each coming term, we get to dig a little deeper into the system, make new friends, meet the cute new boys, hear all the new gossip, and everything is fresh and new.

In South Africa, if you're not familiar, we have four school terms, and tomorrow is the start of a brand new term. Second term. More popularly known for the June exams and massive assignments, second term is a lot of hard work. I am sure that I did excellent in the first term, so second term is the chance to prove that it wasn't just a once-off thing. In this term, we know who is smart, and who we should be trying to beat. I plan on doing outstanding this term, the way I've done in the last term.

With this confidence I prepare for yet another gruelling term, with late nights and early mornings and unhealthy food and lack of sleep. I check the school website in hopes of finding something useful and I stare at my empty backpack that I just cant find the courage to pack. Tomorrow is the start of a new term, a new beginning. The possibilities are endless!

Our school friends in high school are the main reason a lot of people go to school. I think I would die of boredom if my friends weren't there with me.

This is my biggest wish for this year, in primary school I was a top achiever, I plan on getting back to those days. If this term was any indication, I'm definitely going to do well this year.
