Growing my hair out

Long Hair..

Since the beginning of time, long hair has been considered the crowning glory of women. Until the 20's, almost no one had short hair. But with changing times, hair got shorter, skirts got shorter and there was a huge change in the way women were viewed. Now, long hair is coveted, rare, and beautiful. No wonder there's only a gazillion articles on how to grow your hair out.

My hair has been shoulder length since grade 8, and I even had it chin length at the end of grade 9. I cut my hair regularly, keeping it shoulder length. I want to grow my hair out now. The following pics are my inspiration:

I also want to dye my hair chocolate brown for my matric dance which is next year. I might go red at the end of the year, if my mom allows, or get blue streaks! I will only dye my hair when its grown out and I know its strong so that I wont damage it before I get it to my dream length.

I am currently using Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment. I think its working, I've only been using it for a month now but I think my hair has definitely grown a little bit. Lets hope I'm not just imagining it. It smells great, like a salon product and its packaging is gorgeous. I love the quote used on the packaging: "If the earth's not nourished you'll never grow beautiful flowers" . Its my new philosophy, to grow my hair I have to look after it.

I'm also planning on using vitamins as well, and am looking at any products that encourage hair growth and strengthening.
