Growing my hair out

Long Hair..

Since the beginning of time, long hair has been considered the crowning glory of women. Until the 20's, almost no one had short hair. But with changing times, hair got shorter, skirts got shorter and there was a huge change in the way women were viewed. Now, long hair is coveted, rare, and beautiful. No wonder there's only a gazillion articles on how to grow your hair out.

My hair has been shoulder length since grade 8, and I even had it chin length at the end of grade 9. I cut my hair regularly, keeping it shoulder length. I want to grow my hair out now. The following pics are my inspiration:

I also want to dye my hair chocolate brown for my matric dance which is next year. I might go red at the end of the year, if my mom allows, or get blue streaks! I will only dye my hair when its grown out and I know its strong so that I wont damage it before I get it to my dream length.

I am currently using Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment. I think its working, I've only been using it for a month now but I think my hair has definitely grown a little bit. Lets hope I'm not just imagining it. It smells great, like a salon product and its packaging is gorgeous. I love the quote used on the packaging: "If the earth's not nourished you'll never grow beautiful flowers" . Its my new philosophy, to grow my hair I have to look after it.

I'm also planning on using vitamins as well, and am looking at any products that encourage hair growth and strengthening.

My latest obsesson

Long time, no see, dear friends!

I'm back!

I thought today would be the perfect day to post this. I have recently had an obsession with skirts and dresses and tops and jewellery that I've found on tumblr. This post will just be a collection of some of my favourites. Maybe let me know which one you like. :)

Stop Being such a Bore!

Is it early Christmas? No... Easter? Not yet... But then why am I posting two days in a row? WHO KNOWS?????

I feel in a particularly good mood to write so I shall write:D

This year, although it seems to be going fast, is boring for me. Nothing interesting enough has happened and I'm trying to figure out why. I decided to do a MID YEAR BUCKET LIST!!!

It's basically a list of things I want to accomplish this year. I'm still writing it and am open to suggestions. All I want is good, clean fun to make this year a year to remember!!!

2013 and 2014 are my years. I plan on spending my last two years of high school having the best time of my life. This is my time, this is your time, this is OUR TIME!!! We only get to have the high school experience as students once so lets make it count. No regrets!

Maybe you should make a bucket list! Here are a couple of my choices:

March Madness

It's March! The third month of the year has officially begun and we are finally realising that its a new year. The new years resolutions are long forgotten and we are following the 2013 rhythm.

For some of us, this month is the start of autumn, others, the start of spring, either way, March is bringing change. We can either embrace this change and enjoy a shopping spree to celebrate the change of seasons, or we can moan about all the hay fever we will get.

I love shopping so I, naturally, plan on embracing the autumn weather and buying cute clothes and scarves and gloves and coats and hats! I'm venturing into winter now. Sorry. I can't see myself being upset about it when the prospect of shopping is literally in my face.

Of course, if you're a northern hemisphere dweller, you might be shopping for spring, and you're probably overjoyed that winter is finally ending. Lucky fishes! Spring is just an amazing season, it just is so beautiful how everything comes to life in spring. Everything the horrible, cold winter destroyed is reappearing and its a delightful sight. Too bad I won't be there to enjoy it with you. Admit it! You want me there! Haha!
Lets all get into the March mood! It only comes once a year:)
